TUESDAY MORNING WORKSHOP OPTIONS
WORKSHOP #1
Being an Emotionally Intelligent Geek Leader
Studies have shown that Emotional Intelligence (EI) is one of the best predictors of success at work and fulfillment in life. EI separates high-performing leaders from the rest of the crowd. The good news is that EI is not an innate talent, it is actually a set of competencies that can be learned
and enhanced over time.
Developing EI skills results in improved communication, more effective conflict management, creativity, teamwork, and workplace satisfaction. A side effect of enhancing EI leadership skills is a deeper sense of personal well-being and purpose, increased resilience, and reduced stress. For you and the people you lead.
This workshop will be highly interactive and fun. It will emphasize the practical application of EI concepts rather than just focusing on theory. You will leave with methods to recognize and understand emotions in yourself and in others and use this awareness to respond effectively as a leader and inspire your team.
When you blend your scientific reasoning with emotional intelligence, you will operate at a much higher level than you think you are capable of and create teams with increased success, collaboration and personal fulfillment.

WORKSHOP #4
Building a Culture of Accountability
Accountability is crucial to high-performing teams, and at the same time, it is challenging to create it. People have to choose for themselves to take ownership and be accountable. But leaders can create the conditions where accountability will flourish.
Creating accountability in your team gets the “monkey off your back.” When you generate ownership and responsibility, you will have a team that provides their own motivation and reinforces high standards of achievement.
In this highly interactive and fun workshop, you will learn how to reframe accountability from a daily battlefield to a system for everybody to thrive. You will leave with a framework to have people take ownership of their decisions, actions and results, and you will also learn and practice the tools for supporting and coaching your team in their accountability.
Ultimately, building a culture of accountability allows your team to focus on what’s most important, elevating their accomplishments, fulfillment, and morale.
